Dear Me, Love You x

Dear 13 year old me,

Im not here to give you any spoilers because that would be cheating. What I am here for is reassurance. Although it may not seem like it is going to right now, your life turns out to be pretty damn good. To get to the good however, you are going to have to deal with the bad. Heres what we know;

* You have to learn to let the right people in. There are many people who care about you and want you to be happy, healthy and safe. Show your emotions, all of them, they deserve to know and will help you through.

*You may not fit in but that is ok. You are a misfit but are loved for being you. Stay that way.

*You have so much to learn, discover and do so pay attention. Whilst your remaining years at high school will not be as good as expected you will learn valuable life lessons that you will carry with you forever.

*You do not have to make a solid decision about your future at 18. As long as you work hard the rewards will come and you will figure it out eventually.

*Everything that hurts you and drags you down over the next 10 years will build you up to be stronger, independent and determined.

*One day you realise that you are happy. So happy that you wonder why you doubted you never would be.

*The darkest moments in your life open the doors to the lightest times.

*Appreciate everything, make mistakes, take the advice, forgive and forget.

*Have the courage to do what you want to do. Don't just follow the crowd.

*Be happy and look after us.
